MAKINA

Makina, Arabic for "Machine", stands as the inaugural expression of Maghnam’s philosophy, an early but decisive statement that defines the brand’s identity as a creator of “sculptures of time.”  I t represents  a deeply intentional exploration of form, emotion, and mechanical storytelling.

Drawing heavily from the golden age of automotive design, Makina channels the spirit of mid-20th century icons, machines celebrated as much for their artistry as for their engineering. This influence manifests not as a superficial reference, but as a structural philosophy. Much like a finely crafted automobile, Makina is conceived with a clear distinction between exterior and interior: a polished steel shell that encases a richly layered, almost architectural inner world.

Rejecting the traditional flat dial, the watch introduces a multi-dimensional composition beneath its domed crystal. The interior is treated as a space rather than a surface, constructed with varying materials and levels to evoke depth and intrigue. Elements such as the leather “flooring,” structural components reminiscent of the automobile that inspires it.
