FORM 3: MADAR

2.JPG

Madar, derived from the arabic word for "Satellite" or "Orbit" draws from the boundless imagery of the skies-futuristic exploration, orbital motion, and a pursuit of design purity elevated beyond convention.

In contemporary design discourse, “purity” is often misinterpreted as minimalism stripped to the point of emptiness. Madar challenges this notion. Rather than subscribing to austerity, it embraces a philosophy in which purity coexists with identity, where form is refined, yet expressive. The result is a sculptural timepiece that merges elegance with intrigue, offering both wearability and subtle complexity beneath its surface.

At its core, Madar explores the relationship between wearer and object. The seemingly simple rituals of interacting with a watch - setting the time or winding the movement - become moments of connection. This concept is extended further through one of Madar’s defining innovations: a continuous 360-degree rotational mechanism. This feature allows the wearer to adjust the watch’s orientation freely, even while it remains on the wrist. Practical inconveniences, such as wearing the watch on a non-dominant wrist or adjusting its position, are effectively eliminated. More importantly, the mechanism invites interaction, encouraging engagement with the timepiece beyond the mere act of reading time - an experience particularly appreciated by dedicated enthusiasts.
